How much did your pay jump this year?

If you were a CEO, it’d have gone up by more than a third.

This is important to remember when people talk about job creation. More money doesn’t go to paying for employees, it goes to making the execs wealthier.

  1. Well now, come on Hanlon; be fair. The job creators are trickling down their wealth – just not to the people who made them rich to begin with. But some lucky stiff in some developing nation is probably overjoyed at his/her $15-a-day wages and no job benefits! If Americans would just wake up and realize that if we’d give corporations everything they want, and work for wages that wouldn’t pay our gas fare back and forth to work, and give up vacation and sick leave and job safety, why, we could have those jobs back!

  2. Hey Hanlon – Just think how much richer Bill Gates could have been if he’d outsourced everything to India and China from day one! Steve Jobs, too!

I know I love thinking about the Koch Suc… er, Brothers and their ilk investing in stocks and futures and options and hookers and bonds and politicians and lobbyists and gay hookups on Craigslist and whatnot! Why, they’re only thinking of the good of the country and the welfare of their fellow Americans with every penny they spend! Warms the cockles of your heart, doesn’t it?

    • I love this. We can’t outsource jobs to India because those need to be *American* jobs. But American jobs in South Carolina don’t count because those jobs need to be *union* jobs. Stupid bitch.

In other words, unions fuck over non-union workers just as surely as outsourcing does, and nobody bats an eye at that. At least outsourcing has benefits for the consumer. I could go on all day about how the consumer suffers because of unions.

      • Stupid, limp-dicked, eunuch, asshole of goatse proportions.

Like I said, you’re just phoning it in at this point. If you want to revert to your usual tactic of name calling like a 12-year-old, I guess that’s about what we’ve come to expect, but I’m not wasting any energy formulating an answer to your blathering idiocy. Have a Merry Christmas!

      • That’s a shame, because I was really looking forward to hearing your deep, insightful explanation of what comes across to us simple common-sensers as shallow liberal hypocrisy.

      • @John Galt calling it “common sense” doesn’t trick anyone, man. And the fact that you winee about unions proves that all you can do is spew Limbaugh talking points.

  3. Oh, and by the way, my pay only went up a couple of percent. But the suits did give me a couple extra percent in bonus for helping with the outsourcing project last year.

    What a country!!!
