Uncomfortable Economic Truth

Business owners want as few employees as possible. This is why they automate, outsource, and downsize whenever possible. From a business perspective, an employee is an expense, period. The only reason to increase the work force is if it’s necessary to support an increase in income greater than the cost of hiring them all.

That’s why consumers are the job creators, not corporate bigwigs.

Marx reconfigured it this way: there is worker unrest when workers’ wages are too low to buy their own products, so owners are constantly looking for the magic balance – the lowest wages, the highest prices, and the greatest profits just short of worker revolt. The Kochs get it. Unfortunately, the Koch-suckers do not.
