I think it was Richard Dawkins who said that, as unpalatable as it is to think about, Osama Bin Laden was a human being with a favorite movie, favorite food, goofy things he was scared of and such.
And it’s important to remember that, even while condemning his actions as vile. It doesn’t mean you sympathize with him or forgive him. Just means you see the whole person.
