I don't mean this in a jerkish way

I never understood the entire Easter concept. Even when I was little. Unless I’m mistaken, the idea is that God sent himself down to be sacrificed to himself, in order to forgive the people he created from a sin he imposed upon them in the first place. I didn’t, and still don’t, understand why in the world God had to do all that in order to take back what he apparently decided was a mistake, which (to me) cast the “infallible” idea into doubt.

Now that I’m on the topic, it wasn’t a sacrifice anyway, because he was resurrected after his crucifixion, something that I assume God knew would happen beforehand. I was always under the impression that “sacrifice” implied a loss.

Again, this is just random musing, and not an attack.

  1. What are you talking about? Isn’t Easter about rabbits hiding eggs?

  2. From one Hanlon to another….I agree completely. It makes absolutely no sense and never has. However, Peace to all of you who believe.

    • Glad to know I’m not crazy here. I mean, it’s a good story on its face, but man it starts to turn illogical when you put it all together.
