When it goes too far.

I’m not exactly in love with Christine O’Donnell, but this recent story that basically blows up her former sexual escapades simply goes too far.

Yeah, in some sort of cosmic sense I adore that this anti-masturbation, anti-gay, pro-life, Teabagger getting her shit ruined, but there comes a point when someone’s personal life is their goddamn personal life. People running for office should not be scared of having some embarrassing photos pulled from Facebook and used to humiliate them.

Frankly, I don’t care who or what you’ve had sex with. It doesn’t really have any bearing on your ability to lead, unless you’re advocating a suspicious number of “let people marry dolphins” bills. There’s plenty to use against O’Donnell, we should be able to leave at least a few things sacred.

  1. You R such a gentleman 🙂 I actually felt like a creepy bottom-feeder when I clicked on the link, but some of the comments were right on…should we have one standard for C O’D and another one for Eliot Spitzer, Mark Sanford, and David Vitter?

  3. Thank you. I don’t care for O’Donnell. Still, there’s no need to go this far. Her words and positions and (lack of) knowledge are enough to prove to likely voters that she’s dangerously unqualified.

  4. I don’t disagree with you, but I do admit to a certain ghoulish glee when public hypocrisy is utterly, totally exposed by “private” revelation.
