Judge: torture is, in fact, illegal

For the first time, a witness’s testimony is barred because the information he gave was attained via “enhanced tactics”.

This was during a civilian terrorism trial, but progress is progress. I still never understood how anyone could defend these tactics while saying we shouldn’t use them on non-terrorism trials.
