The Nine-One-One

Take a moment today and consider the following:

  1. How lucky we all are to live in this great nation.
  2. The sacrifices made to keep it that way.
  3. The tragedy of lives lost.
  4. What we can all do to make it better.

To me, the truly sad part of this date isn’t remembering what happened when the towers fell, it’s realizing what hasn’t been done since then. That we’re angrier over an Islamic community center being built than that we still don’t have a proper memorial in the crater.

I don’t think the United States changed on 9/11, but rather our true nature came to the surface.

And with a person of the caliber of George W. Bush having been selected as The President of the United States of America… license was given to the crazies to come out of the closet.

    And they did.

  2. MR HANLON…

Just so you know… the “Post as…” button does nothing in Firefox. Consequently… readers using Firefox (only)… are unable to post a comment within the current incarnation of your comment system.

  3. Just saw this headline which I thought could spark interest on here. In Australia an atheist university professor burned the Bible and Koran on Youtube to mark 9/11…… http://uk.news.yahoo.com/18/20100913/twl-australia-lawyer-smokes-koran-bible-2802f3e.html

  4. Yes, they did all come out. Would someone please put them back now?

  5. Wow, this IS a strange new system. My comments are going to the top now instead of the bottom and it won’t let me use the “Reply” function at all. Definitely weird! This is MelaneeM, by the way.
