The Tea Party becomes dangerous

These are the maniacs the GOP wants to court.

A staffer for Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.) told reporters that Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-M.D.) had been spit on by a protestor. Rep. John Lewis (D-G.A.), a hero of the civil rights movement, was called a ‘ni–er.’ And Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) was called a “faggot,” as protestors shouted at him with deliberately lisp-y screams. Frank, approached in the halls after the president’s speech, shrugged off the incident.

But Clyburn was downright incredulous, saying he had not witnessed such treatment since he was leading civil rights protests in South Carolina in the 1960s.

“I heard people saying things that I have not heard since March 15, 1960 when I was marching to try and get off the back of the bus,” [said Clyburn.]

This is more than just “a few idiots”. This is the core of the movement.

  1. Let them continue to show the true face of the "conservative" movement / 2010 version, eventually it will lead to pushing shoving and continued spitting (assault as well). When the police arrest the offenders we'll see exactly how committed to their "cause" they really are. I'm certain they will retreat whimpering and crying about the "police state" and how they are being oppressed. F'n idiots through and through. Here's an idea – why not bring back Bush's "designated protest area's? It worked for the GOP for eight years, give them a taste of their own BS for once.

  3. The whipped cream on top of this excretum of a story? Rep. Nunes’s claim that the Tea Kluxers have been driven to these outbursts as a natural response to Democratic insanity. Res ipsa loquitur.
