Hanlon’s Razor

FOX, you clever bastards.

I wrote earlier about conservatives I agree with for some reason, but I’m glad that at least FOX has managed to arouse my ire with a reliable frequency. What we have here is Barack Obama doing the “fist-pound” thing, and the alabaster-white pundits of FOX respond with:

HILL: A fist bump? A pound? A terrorist fist jab? The gesture everyone seems to interpret differently. We’ll show you some interesting body communication and find out what it really says.

Now, the expert they bring on doesn’t mention anything about terrorism, but what we’re seeing here is, yet again, a hilariously nosebleed-inducing way of being ferociously racist without actually seeming racist.

Here’s what FOX has done: they can’t out and out go after anything “black” that Obama does, while you know they’re just aching to do it since the only blacks FOX accepts are either neanderthal conservatives like Alan Keyes or “hey look at the crazy black dude” like Al Sharpton.

So now FOX has responded by interpreting everything vaguely black-ish that Obama does, anything even tangentially racially-twinged, as itself racist, anti-American, or in this case, “terrorist” like. Expect far more of this in the future.

What? They didn’t even go over the “tush pat”? Fox is falling down on the job. Good thing they at least snuck in the token terrorist reference. I was beginning to wonder if Fox was becoming, you know, factual.

Oh they’re just warming up. Give it time, they’ll start to really fire the big guns once the election season opens up.

[...] was entirely apt. FOX famously went racial twice with the huge “controversy” over the “terrorist fist bump,” and let’s not forget the famous “baby mama” chyron when showing Michelle. [...]
